Caden1st day of School
|
Caden started the first grade in September. Maggie had prepared for over a year and it came off without a hitch. Homeschooling is quite the challenge but after a few weeks (as in public/private school) the routine settled in as did Caden!
Our nature/ seasonal table at the beginning of the school year, including, what else but some turkey feathers. In the back you can see our story candle with the snuffer and a bit of my felted matchbox cover
Our school room before the start of first day.
Caden's Schultuete that I made for him after it has been filled with some goodies for the schoolyear. I cut and decoupaged snippets from the book "Die Hasenschule".
Caden in the garden holding his Schultuete. Our first grade school picture.
He could not wait to open the Schultuete and wanted to see what was inside.
After he placed the rose he received for his first day of school on he went to exploring his tuete.
Aurelia was tempted by all those beautiful colored wax crayons that Caden received for his school work.
She was also very curious about the knights booklet.
Caden put on his amber necklace that he received as a special present for his first day and has not taken it off since. We think it looks very good on him and he has receivd various compliments on it as well.
Caden is unrolling his red crayon pouch.
Placing his wax crayons carefully into the pouch, this was the best and easiest way to teach him how to tie a bow, he loves doing it. I remember what a hard time I had as a small child learning to tie bows and I bet it would have been a lot easier on me as well if I was able to learn it in a practical way.
Exploring further treasures, with some candy as well naturally, to sweeten the first day even more.
He loves to work with his dragon tear gems. Now that makes math fun!
Does his necklace not look beautiful!
A new paint brush and some chalk is naturally a must as well. Happy new school year Caden!
