Cadens 6th Birthday

For Caden's 6th Birthday, we went up to the White Mountains overnighting at a hotel. From there we went "Maple Sugaring," attended a short workshop on the importance of maple syrup to the early settlers and how it was harvested. After that, we went out (into the VERY COLD weather) and went sugaring. Caden got to select a proper tree, drive in the spigot and collect sryup in the pail etc. From there we went to the sugar-shack where syrup is boiled down to make what we know as "Maple Syrup." It was a fun time and we all had a blast-even Aurelia!
