The Big Vacation to Europe

June 2012

In June of 2012, we were finally comfortable enough with Aurelia travelling to make the big trip to Europe. To say it was big is an understatement. We travelled to Germany, Austria, Hungary, Switzerland and Italy staying in Austria twice. We had great warm weather, a bit of rain, and yes, even snow and cold weather up in the Alps.

Our overall trip went something like this:

• Boston - New Jersey (air)
• New Jersey - Munich (Flat beds in Business First thanks to United Miles from Antons business travels)
• Munich - Salzburg (car)
• Salzburg - Hódmezővásárhely (in Hungary)
• Hódmezővásárhely - Fuschlsee (A Castle outside of Salzburg in the mountains!)
• Fuschlesee - Dongo, Lago di Como (a town on Lake Como in the Northern Italian state of Lombardy)
• Dongo - Munich
• Munich -Manchester/Boston (Anton returned to Manchester 1 day ahead of the rest of the clan)

We had a memorable time to say the least, had wonderful visits with family and friends that are family to us, and everyone came home safe and sound!
